When I first planned this trip, I read upon countless style tips on what would work when travelling (oh come on, I know you do the same!) I needed to pack the bare minimal as Sebastian trumps the rest of baggage allowance so it’s important to make sure every piece can be worn over and over.
I’m so proud to publish my first ever collaboration with Country Road, an Australian fashion and lifestyle brand that I highly respect and adore. I selected three pieces from their autumn/winter line which featured a grey long line coat, a nude silk shirt and a folded backpack. I love each and every item because they are simple yet chic in a practical way that I needed them to be. The backpack trumps my handbag, especially when Sebastian tags along. I need both my hands to carry him hence my camera, wallet, his bottle and toys, all feels lighter on my back. The coat is my statement coat, I feel most put together when I throw this coat on anytime and over any outfit, from a quick dash to the boulangerie, to an elegant evening celebration, anywhere really in Paris, it works!
Rule one: by relying on simple, chic and well-made basic pieces that you can mix and match, looking put-together with a teething and walking toddler means you have one less thing to worry about.
