On my last visit to Paris, I became friends with an amazing woman by the name of Violette Tannenbaum. We found each other through Instagram and when I finally met her in person, she was everything her feed reflected, happy, bright and just everything lovely. We genuinely connected because she was real, she was humble, she was always the truest version of herself, so sweet and always so grateful. From her profile I already knew Violette is a wedding dress designer who specialises in lace but then I learnt that her skill is self taught, something that came naturally to her when she started to play around with a sewing machine that one of her friend left behind after moving abroad. Isn’t it amazing how the course of life can change at the most unexpected turn. I hope you can see from the photos the joy I feel wearing this particular dress that is Violette’s signature. The delicate details she puts in it, oh I’m such a lucky girl to be photographed wearing it whilst twirling in almost empty Jardin du Luxembourg and strolling along Pont Marie at sunrise, sitting under the fluffiest cherry blossom trees beside the Notre Dame. Best of all, my encounter with Violette reminded me of everything wonderful about Paris. She reminded me of how incredible life gets when you take chances to live abroad and meet your kindred spirit. I wish for every woman to meet her Violette.
