To say that the past three weeks had been challenging would be an understatement. Trust me. They say a child would be sick when you throw in daycare centres into the routine. Trust them. On top of the many occasions that Sebastian had been sick (again!) in the past three weeks, his poor cheek got bitten by another child in daycare. He came home with a whole-mouth bite mark imprinted on his cheek. That’s when I lost the plot. Kinda. There was a moment when I felt so guilty for commencing work and for leaving my child in someone else’s care when he should have been with me. I don’t know how I got over it, I don’t think I ever did. It could be time to put him in karate classes to learn self-defence. Anyway the weekends are now more than ever precious for our little family. Especially sweet Sunday like this one, when winter feels deceivingly like it might be heading for spring already and we could roam about town. Cafe hopping, babyccino sipping – at the sound of how smooth everything sounds, I hope you can see from the photos the many mood Sebastian jumps to easily. His sulky crying face though.. gets at my very core.
